Words on the Water 2012
In this writer's festival, writers and readers meet in a beautiful west coast setting to support lifelong education in our community and to offer workshops for local students and adult writers. March 23rd and 24th at the Maritime Heritage Centre. Featuring Gurjinder Basran, Susan Juby, Terry Fallis, Daphne Marlatt, Zsuzsi Gartner, Garry Thomas Morse, Trevor Herriot and Robert Wiersema.
Their special event this year is humorously called "Birds on the Water." Current Haig-Brown writer in residence, Trevor Harriot, is also a birder. He will take people out birdwatching on the Saturday morning of the festival. They can then return to the Maritime Heritage Centre for free coffee and fresh goodies in time for the first reading event.
Tickets available at the Tidemark Theatre (250-287-PINK).
***Friday and Saturday evening events are now SOLD OUT and only a few weekend passes are still available. If you would like to attend any of the individual sessions, tickets will be sold at the door.
