BC Hydros open house

BC Hydro's proposed billion dollar John Hart generating station replacement project is up for discussion today.

The power company's community liaison Steven Watson says they would love to have as many members of the community out as possible to their open house.

“It’s very informal, you don’t have to be registered and there’s no fee,” says Watson. “You can just come on out and go to where (details) your interesting in more about and we would be happy to talk to you.”

They will have a host of project members at the Maritime Heritage Center today from 3:00pm to 7:00pm.

Watson says if the plan is approved by everyone, it will be a five year project with construction starting in the summer of 2013.
