February 16, 2012

It’s been a great start to the year for reality in Campbell River. Janet Scotland from Gold River Realty says they have been unseasonably busy so far.

“It’s felt that way; its felt that we have been really busy and our numbers in January have proven that our residential numbers have improved.”

Scotland says they have had 12% more sales this January than last year and price (of real estate) have risen 2%.She thinks and hopes that January stats show that this will be a good year in real estate.

This comes on the heels of Statistics Canada census report of 5.5% increase in population in the City of Campbell River. Scotland says that most of the people moving into town have bought residential, with condominiums taking a hit in 2011.
