Tidemark 25 Campaign kickoff

February 17, 2012

The Tidemark 25 Capital Campaign officially kicked off last night. Campaign Chair Denise Mitchell-Hill   announced their fund raising goal of $50,000 by the end of March.

“We need it to qualify for the two grants that we have already been approved for; we need that community involvement, says Mitchell-Hill. “The money is sitting and waiting. If we invest $50,000 as a community we get $600,000, which is a pretty good investment.”

The overall goal is to secure $250,000 from within the community by next December and add it to the $600,000 in public grants.

All funds will go to the Tidemark Theater revitalization plan. The online ticketing system, new lights, seats, new lobby is part of everything needed for a modern facility.

The first phase of the fundraising has included the “Silver Brick campaign,” where community members can buy a brick with their name on it for $100. The bricks are being displayed in the lobby of the Tidemark Theatre.
